Part Time Beverage Busperson/ Kitchen Helper

Hourly Rate $12.08- $13.59- $15.10

As a Beverage Busperson, your primarily responsibility is to support your team members in the Food & Beverage department by ensuring dishes, pots, etc. are washed and sanitized in a timely fashion. Cleanliness of the restaurant, self-serve areas, staff cafeteria and gaming floor to ensure all are professional in appearance, while maintaining the highest caliber of customer service to patrons and employees. In addition, you will be responsible for re-stock self-serve stations, keep workspaces clean and sanitized by washing floors, walls and various pieces of equipment to maintain a high level of cleanliness in the dish and kitchen area, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards. As a Kitchen Helper, your main responsibility will be to ensure the Kitchen is properly prepared for service. This includes, but is not limited to, creating prep lists, prepping, cooking and/or baking all items on the list, and pulling frozen items so they are ready for service. You will be responsible for preparing all items with strict adherence to specifications in a safe and sanitary manner. You will be required to multitask, while working in a fast paced environment. You will maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the requirements of the Board of Health. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, putting orders away, working in the Express Kitchen and helping in the dish room. You will work under Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO) regulations and comply with all applicable laws, policies and procedures.

The successful candidates will possess:

  • A secondary school diploma or comparable combination of equivalent working experience and education.
  • Experience in related field of one (1) or more years.
  • Safe food handling course.
  • Knife handling skills.
  • The ability to work and excel in a fast paced large volume business.
  • Organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • The ability to obtain registration as a Category 2 Gaming Assistant with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario.
