Welcome to the Extraordinary. The Hazelton Hotel Toronto is comprised of 77 suites in a limestone building that has been designed to set the standard for five-star hotels in Canada. Located in the heart of fashionable Yorkville, guests will be steps away from the luxury shops of Bloor Street, and many of the country’s finest art galleries, world-class museums and theatres. The oversized accommodations are designed by internationally renowned designers Yabu Pushelberg and feature the latest in technology and communication.

Description and Scope of Reservation Agent

Responsibilities:
* Greeting and processing of incoming reservations requests with accuracy, efficiency and to Hazelton Hotel International Standards.
* Professional and friendly in qualifying the call using the brand flexing process, and asks for the sale every time in order to capture our share of the market.
* Ensuring reservations, registration and departure procedures are completed accurately and in a timely fashion.
* Updating reservation traces, entering rooming lists, run daily reports and complete daily shift task list
* Knowledge of the hotel and the contractual agreements with our Tour/FIT Wholesalers
* Test calls to competition and Leading Hotels of the World.
* Responding to faxes and emails including filing.
* Processing of no shows, facilitating communication between all departments involved.
* Assisting with other duties assigned.
* Maintain positive working relationships with colleagues, travel agents, Trust Voyager and other parties associated with the reservations process.

Qualifications:
* Professional telephone etiquette, excellent written communication skills, and sales ability.

* Excellent command of the English language, secondary language a benefit

* Positive attitude, motivated, team player, well organized, efficient, informative.

* Understanding of REVPAR and Revenue Management principles

* Be able to work effectively in a busy office environment.

* Working knowledge of the following: Micros Opera, Microsoft XP Professional would be a definite asset

* Prior hotel experience an asset

* Must be available on weekends
