DEPARTMENT: Kitchen
POSITION: Line Cook
REPORTS TO: Chef/Sous-Chef
HOURS: As Required, 40 Hours per week, Evening line cook (2pm-close / weekends)
PRIMARY FUNCTION: To maintain a high standard of food quality, presentation and cleanliness of kitchen.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Ensure a high quality and presentation of all food.

Follow portion and cost controls.
Follow all recipes for food items.
Maintain reasonable cooking time during line work.
Follow health and safety regulations.
Work in direct coordination with all staff.
Maintain a constant cleanliness of all kitchen areas including fridges and equipment.
Follow all daily duty rosters.
Hot & Cold food preparations
To perform other associated duties as assigned.

Follow policy manual.

Experience/Background:

Red Seal Certified preferred, but not required.
Two to three years of practical experience.
Excellent interpersonal skills.
