We need a Kitchen Manager that has a strong knowledge of being accountable for key financial operations as it relates to kitchen operations, responsible for training and developing our Back of House team members and providing them with thorough food knowledge and education. Title of Position: Kitchen Manager

Job Description: Our Kitchen Manager must provide strong leadership, developmental skills, support, and motivation to leaders in the kitchen, creating a positive setting encouraging ownership and accountability; recruiting and maintaining a talented team while meeting or exceeding business outcomes. This person will need to be a role model with extraordinary kitchen management skills and be cuisine savvy. We need an individual with a passion for food and strong knowledge of local, seasonal and organic ingredients. As the Kitchen Manager, you will be expected to oversee kitchen functions such as purchasing, staff training, and understand P&L statements.

Qualifications & Responsibilities:

  • Minimum of 3 yrs experience working in fast-paced pub style restaurant
  • Food Safe certification
  • Experience with purchasing, receiving, scheduling labour control & inventory
  • Lead daily preparation and ability to keep staff on task
  • Maintain an organized, well-stocked, clean and safe working environment
  • Appliance/equipment/facility maintenance
  • You will manage a staff of 6-10 people
  • Management of food preparation and production
  • High proficiency in multi-tasking, organizational and communication skills
  • Versatile and able to solve problems in an efficient manner
