Cartridge Assembly Operator

This is a Contract position in Sicamous, ia posted July 28, 2021.

An exciting opportunity for Cartridge Assembly Operator .

This is a permanent opportunity with Qvella Corporation located in Richmond Hill, Ontario.

Nature and Scope of Work: Responsible for meeting daily assembly production objectives by performing required tasks including parts preparation and inspection, devices assembly and testing in accordance with established procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Meet daily production assembly requirements by following engineering drawings, specifications, bill of materials and other written instructions to accurately assemble/test microfluidic devices.

Self-inspect one’s own work and identify defects to ensure compliance with established quality standard.

Follow work instructions and make sure all required documentation are complete Maintain the integrity of production facility including organizing/cleaning work stations, maintaining inventory of product in work stations and assisting production cycle count.

Assist in production process improvement and validation projects Work with quality team to perform incoming/in-process inspection, improve process yield and reduce waste.

Other duties may also be assigned.

Qualifications and Requirements: 2 -3 hands-on experience in small-scale device assembly industry preferably in pharmaceutical, biomedical, IVD or other related industry.

High level of proficiency in handling general lab tools and equipment.

Attention to details, highly organized, flexible, persistent and proactive way of working.

Problem-solving skills with a proven track record of fast learning and multitasking ability.

Work independently with minimal supervision.

Hands-on MS-Office experience/skills including spreadsheet data entry.

Work well in a small team and be able to handle the pressure of meeting tight deadlines Good understanding of work safety requirements/regulations and quality GMP/ISO methodology.

Good verbal and written communication skills in English Note: from time to time, the incumbent in this role will be working in a cleanroom, requiring the use of a hairnet and facemask.

To protect the integrity of our cleanroom, employees are not permitted to smoke before entering on any given day.

If any person is exposed to cigarette smoke (including second hand), it is required to shower, wash hair and wear fresh clothing as a prerequisite to using any workspace in the cleanroom.

Education : Preference for relevant post-secondary education such as a technical diploma or university degree.
