Commercial Finance Manager

Take the leap and make your mark at Plan Group As our Commercial Finance Manager, you will : Be a financial business partner / advisor to the Services senior management team Assess and advise on business risk / opportunity to optimize strategies.

Develop and publish key performance metrics / analysis.

Implement internal control systems, operational procedures and reporting systems to mitigate financial risks and support the growth of the business.

Develop and streamline processes and tools, developing analytics and dashboards for reporting and forecasting.

Advise and work closely with operational team designing and implementing a new work order management ERP tool.

Manage and lead financial performance reporting and analysis with accurate and timely information to the business.

Manage, lead and support a dedicated cost control team that delivers project accounting, billing support and financial process support to the business.

Manage and provide expertise on finance matters, supporting new work and continuous improvement within the business.

Our ideal candidate has: A recognized accounting designation or degree in finance.

A minimum of 5 years’ progressive experience leading financial accounting and reporting (Service / Facility Maintenance Industry experience an asset).

Creative thinking skills, ability to solve problems and recommend solutions.

Demonstrated knowledge of quality assurance principles, practices and audit processes to analyze financial data and formulate conclusions and recommendations.

Analytical and problem-solving skills to conduct complex and comprehensive financial analysis, assessment and evaluation of financial reporting activities and to identify potentially contentious issues that expose PG to risk and recommend appropriate options.

Leadership and influencing skills to encourage senior management, colleagues, clients and vendors of the need to adhere to financial/cost control processes.

Developed governance and accountability, quality management systems and risk mitigation strategies to use a risk assessment lens to identify and address risks, issues and accounting implications for the project baseline.

Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.

Strong presentation skills, able to explain concepts concisely and accurately.

Demonstrated interpersonal skills to develop strong, cooperative relationships with operational management and other support service groups.
