This is a Contract position in Sainte-Adele, QC posted November 23, 2022.

We are looking for an upbeat and dynamic person to fill the position mentioned above for the beautiful 136-room resort located on the top of a mountain.  For more than 80 years, the Hotel and Spa Mont Gabriel offers a warm and professional customer service, as well as an excellent table coming from our local market.

Under the responsibility of the Executive Chef, the cook produces the dishes served in the establishment in accordance with the quality criteria.

Job description:

  • Pay special attention to allergies and set up according to the menus.
  • Review the daily task chart and prepare missing items.
  • Remove from refrigerators, freezers and storage rooms, the required foods and ensure the freshness of these and inform his immediate superior.
  • Cook meats and fish for main courses.
  • Prepare fruits and vegetables for the service.
  • Prepare starchy foods according to the menus.
  • Prepare the garnishes and decorations for the plates.
  • Heat bread needed for service
  • In the case of a buffet-style menu, make sure all cold and hot dishes are ready on time.
  • Assemble the plates according to the orders, make a beautiful presentation and respect the required temperatures, all according to established standards.

  • Put the set up back in the refrigerators, pack them, date them and write on the daily tasks table the items to be prepared for the next day.
