Corporate Controller

Artemis Gold Inc.

Artemis Gold Inc., listed on the TSX Venture exchange, is a well-financed, growth-oriented gold development company aimed at creating shareholder value through the identification, acquisition and development of gold properties in mining friendly jurisdictions.

Our current focus is the recently acquired Blackwater Gold Project in central British Columbia approximately 160km southwest of Prince George and 450km northeast of Vancouver.

You will have the ability to make a significant contribution to shaping the internal policies and practices of the Company’s Finance function and support the project team as the Company pursues the disciplined development of the Blackwater Project.

Blackwater is an advanced-stage mine development project which received its environmental assessment approvals in 2019 and is proceeding towards permitting, with the goal of commencing construction in 2022.

The Company published a pre-feasibility study in August 2020 which reflects proven and probably reserves of 8Moz of gold at 0.78g/t, a low strip ratio of 2:1 and a net present value of C$2.2B at a long-term gold price of US$1,541/oz.

Reporting to the Company’s Vice President Finance, this full-time and permanent position will be responsible for stewarding the Company’s financial reporting and planning, as well risk management and treasury management.

Financial Reporting Prepare and manage monthly financial reporting including the budget-to-actual variance analyses.

Prepare and manage quarterly and annual consolidated financial statements and MD&A in accordance with IFRS, including the preparation of consolidation, supporting working papers, accounting memorandums, tax provisions, and other required regulatory filings.

Assist in preparation of other continuous disclosure documents (Annual Information Form, Information Circular).

Research new IFRS accounting pronouncements, including accounting policy development and implementation throughout the Company.

Liaise with the site Finance department as needed to ensure complex financial reporting matters are well-understood.

Oversee preparation of annual tax returns (e.g.

T2) and review other tax returns (e.g.

GST, ESTMA) prepared by other accounting staff.

Coordinate with the Company’s external auditors, tax advisors, and various other service providers, and respond to CRA inquiries and audits.

Full-cycle Accounting Oversee the day-to-day accounting of the Company and supervise accounting staff at the Company’s head office in Vancouver.

Ensure all transactions are managed in accordance with the Company’s defined governance policies and procedures Review and approve payroll and related filings (WCB, WSIB, EHT).

Review and approve all journal entries for coding and consistency with IFRS and the Company’s corporate budget.

Review accounting working papers prepared by accounting staff.

Provide support and guidance to accounting staff while demonstrating leadership.

Treasury Management Assist with the corporate budgeting, and forecasting processes, including cash-flow forecasts.

Manage the Company’s payment disbursements and approve payments within the banking system.

Support the treasury functions including cash management and relationships with financial institutions.

Special Projects Champion the implementation of a company-wide ERP system Manage, implement, and/or monitor accounting systems, policies and procedures, and internal controls environment and documentation for the Company.

Maintain integrity of Company’s share capital data.

Support the Company’s risk management initiatives, including the Company’s insurance programs Preferred Qualifications and Education University degree in accounting and an accounting designation (CPA).

Big Four experience, preferably at the manager level or above Minimum 8 years of progressive experience, with some experience in a managing role.

Prior experience working in a publicly listed company and strong background in Canadian corporate reporting is considered an asset.

Prior mining experience or work with heavy industrial operations preferred Advanced Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word skills.

Experience in the use of corporate ERP systems Experience in implementation of ERP systems considered an asset.

Team player with a service-delivery focus, good business acumen, ability to adapt to change in a growing company.

Excellent oral and written English communication skills and a strong attention to detail.

Ability to digest complex business issues and clearly articulate key messages to target audiences.

Excellent organization and time management skills, critical thinking and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks to meet both internal and external deadlines.

Some travel will be required.

The management team also has interest in two affiliated public companies and may involve you to support those activities as needed.
