Status: Full-time

Salary: Starting from $75,000 per year plus bonuses as per current policy

As a member of the hotel’s executive committee and reporting to the General Manager, the Sales Director is responsible for implementing appropriate marketing and sales strategies to achieve the company’s sales and customer loyalty objectives. The successful candidate will oversee the entire sales process, from identifying business opportunities to negotiating and concluding contracts.

Principal job duty:

  • Prepare sales reports and projections.
  • Manage, retain, and prospect a portfolio of corporate businesses, SMERF, associations, corporate groups, and travel.
  • Provide ongoing training and procedural support to the sales team.
  • Establish, develop, and maintain a network of contacts.
  • Monitor and implement current procedures and policies.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Establish and maintain good working relationships with managers from various operational departments such as reception, reservations, catering, golf, and accounting.
  • Develop effective sales and marketing strategies to stimulate business growth.
  • Develop marketing plans to promote the company’s products and services.
  • Conduct market and competition analysis to ensure competitiveness.
  • Build relationships with key clients and business partners.
  • Participate in defining company goals and developing strategic plans.
  • Collaborate with other company departments to ensure consistency in communication and sales and marketing initiatives.

Qualifications and skills:

  • Four (4) to six (6) years of relevant experience in hotel sales.
  • A college degree in hotel management is an asset.
  • Excellent negotiation skills.
  • Team spirit, leadership, and availability.
  • Neat and professional presentation at all times.
  • Knowledge of computer systems such as the Microsoft Office suite, Hotello, etc.
  • Possession of a vehicle for business travel (an asset).
  • Occasional mobility.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Creativity and strategic vision.
  • Ability to manage a multi-generational team.
