Job Summary Delta Hotels by Marriott Kingston Waterfront is looking for a Hotel Reservations Agent The Reservations Agent is responsible for handling reservations, inquiries and cancellations in an attentive, courteous and efficient manner, and quoting available rates to maximize room/ AquaTerra revenue according to the Marriott/Diamond Hotels standards.

He/she is also responsible for participating in any guest services focused meetings.

• Answer all incoming calls promptly, in an attentive, courteous and efficient manner.

• Answer guest inquiries about hotel services, facilities and hours of operation.

• Book room and AquaTerra reservations while focusing on maximizing room revenue and average rate using standard rate quoting scenario at all times.

Up sell rooms when possible.

• Deal with all private dining enquiries as per hotel SOP.

• Enter reservations into the computer according to standard operating procedures.

• Be familiar with hotel sales strategy, need periods and financial goals.

• Cross sell and recommend other Diamond Hotels as relates to the customer needs.

• Participate in relevant marketing initiatives.

• Work with Diamond Marketing Manager on constant quality checks relating to

• Be the hotel expert in MARSHA/OPERA system management.

• Work with Food Services Managers to ensure AquaTerra reservations are taken to maximize revenue opportunities.

• Be aware of closed out and restricted dates.

• Maintain availability calendar and communicate all relevant information to the operations staff.

• Maintain accurate files and reports.

• Handle all special reservations, to include V.I.P.

reservations, packages and discounts.

• Attend and give input on trends and opportunities to maximize revenue.

• Complete forecasts as required by management.

• Monitor daily sales activity and alert Rooms Division Manager of sold out nights and possible problem situations.

• Be able to perform all duties of Guest Services Agent and assist at front desk as needed.

• Fully comprehend and be able to operate all relevant aspects of the Front Desk computer system.

• Be able to perform and complete all tasks and duties on the shift checklist in a timely and efficient manner.

• Call for occupancy at area hotels.

• Send confirmations.

• Process advance deposit/balance sheet.

• Forecast packages according to hotel standards.
