Company: Inn on Long Lake Job Level: Management Job Type: Full Time Job Address: 4700 North Island Highway, Nanaimo, British Columbia V9T 1W6 Job Status: Permanent Positions Available: 1 Job Description: Overview hotel day to day operations (front desk, housekeeping, maintenance, café) Provide guidance, leadership, and support to all departments, ensuring consistent compliance with hotel policies and quality guest service while maximizing profits Assist the General Manager and Head of Departments in the selection of hotel staff and completes all new hire paper works Resolve guest complaints, handling all guest interactions with the highest level of hospitality and professionalism, accommodating special requests whenever possible Assigns duties to Head of Departments and observes performance to ensure adherence to hotel policies and established operating procedures Conduct the morning briefings with the leadership team Attend weekly operations meetings and weekly revenue meetings Attend weekly walk through along with the Executive Housekeeper and the Maintenance Manager Performs daily, weekly, and monthly property inspections.

Ensures property, grounds work areas maintained to standard Cover shifts is all departments as scheduled by the General Manager Monitor FF&E conditions and provide status report to the General Manager Audits on par stock on all areas to make sure that all required hotel supplies are ordered and stocked in advance of need Implement the HR strategic plan developed by the General Manager Make sure purchasing protocols are being followed, according to budget established by the GM Must be available 24/7 in case to respond to any emergencies Provide basic IT trouble-shooting support Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, business administration or relevant field.

A minimum of 3 years experience in hotel management or similar role.

Strong understanding of hotel management best practices and data entry software.

Outstanding interpersonal communication and customer service skills.

Exceptional leadership abilities with great attention to detail.
