Located in downtown Montreal, our hotel has 614 rooms and 23 meeting and banquet rooms. The Maitre D is responsible for maintaining the smooth operation of the restaurant and room service. He supervises and participates in all restaurant operations. He/she manages all the staff in the dining room.


He/she provides an outstanding experience from the moment the customer arrives until the end of the service by respecting the company’s standards. Ensures customer satisfaction and receives complaints, if any. Ensures the application of hygiene, sanitation, health and safety standards in the workplace. Knows the menu offered in the restaurant, bar and room service. He/she must be able to answer questions related to the menus. He/she is responsible for billing and cash receipts.

Job description:

  • Ensure that the operational needs of its outlets are met
  • Ensure that you have all the necessary equipment before service
  • Ensure good communication between the kitchen and the dining room
  • Take weekly inventories of your sales points 
  • Maintain and control inventory
  • Perform any other related tasks as requested by your supervisor
  • Ensure the cleanliness of the sales points
  • Assist his/her colleagues
  • Always be aware of new trends and be on the lookout for new practices
  • All other tasks necessary for the smooth running of the restaurant
