Market Development Manager

The Toundrigo group of 6 brands specializing in travel experiences in Canada and the United States is looking for an English-speaking Sales / Market Development Manager with a passion for tourism and travel industry for our brand specialized in individual travel: Toundra Voyages.

Our future Sales / Market Development Manager will be responsible for developing our offer and production to meet the needs of English-speaking markets, and for developing commercial relations with existing and new clients in line with the sales policy defined by management.

General responsibilities

You like to discover, go on adventures, find new things, but above all you like to develop good business relationships with our partners to always get the best from them. You have a sharp mind, you know how to catch the good ideas that will make tomorrow’s successes before anyone else, you understand the challenges of differentiating the inbound tourism offer and last but not least, you like negotiating and producing the best on the market.

With figures

  • Master the clear and up-to-date reporting and know how to present figures (KPIs) to management;
  • Develop and measure key performance indicators to assess and improve sales effectiveness;
  • Analysis clients’ sales figures, set sales targets and achieve them;
  • Be proactive at all times in the development of product offer;
  • Enjoy developing business with partners and increasing the volume of purchases.

With clients / potential clients

  • Define and identify marketing and distribution needs;
  • Plan and evaluate FIT sales forecasts in coordination with management;
  • Draw up a framework contract with clients and management that complies with applicable legislation;
  • Maintain and develop commercial relationships with existing clients according to a defined plan;
  • Prospect for new clients (agencies, networks, Tour Operators) in order to expand the client’s portfolio;
  • Manage all contractual matters with clients;
  • Conduct negotiations with clients to increase profitability (retrocom etc.);
  • Ensure that all sales-related activities support and reinforce objectives;
  • Make proposals to constantly improve sales procedures.

With partners / production

  • Define and identify Toundra Voyages’ product and offering needs;
  • Monitor, manage and optimize commercial relations with our partners;
  • Master negociation techniques with partners;
  • Manage a product range and develop it in line with sales policy;
  • Make our offer available on various media (Big Bro, website and other media);
  • Designing itineraries from the most classic to the most daring

Required Qualifications

  • Perfect knowledge and understanding of English-speaking culture
  • Knowledge of tourist attractions in Canada and the United-States
  • Boldness: everyone has a say in how Toundrigo grows
  • Being a true team player ! Toundrigo DNA is team spirit
  • Excellent interpersonal and listening skills
  • Adaptability: we’re looking for the rare gem who can manage several projects at the same time
  • Ability to adapt to a constantly changing environment
  • Managing partner relations
  • Native English speaker, French is an asset
  • Proficiency in Office suite
  • Previous experience with sales CRM is an asset (Hubspot)

Job summary

  • Start date: as soon as possible
  • Schedule: full time, 40Hrs/week
  • Job type: Permanent, 3 months probation
  • Compensation: to be defined according to experience
  • Paid leave: 3 weeks in a year
