Marketing Account Manager – Travel Trade

This is a career that actually exists Our client, Banff and Lake Louise Tourism is looking for a Marketing Account Manager to strengthen their Travel Trade relations for their membership base.

Responsibilities for the role include: Act as a brand ambassador for the Banff and Lake Louise area: champion the Banff and Lake Louise story, conduct familiarization (FAM) tours and visits, attend trade shows and stimulate year-round visitation Develop partnerships within the membership base; actively engaging and building a strong knowledge of their individualized business goals Develop strategic business plans based on membership and the target areas; ensuring KPIs and joint marketing agreements (JMA’s) are met and exceeded Our client asks that you demonstrate the following qualifications (as evidenced in your resume): A degree in travel/tourism/recreation or marketing/business 5 years of experience in sales and/or project management 2 years of experience in Tourism/Leisure Sales A track record in managing and launching international marketing campaigns Eligibility to work in Canada for at least 2 years A strong knowledge of the Banff and Lake Louise area Excellent communication skills; both written and verbal Proven skills in business planning, problem solving and critical thinking Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Simpleview would be an asset) Flexibility to travel and work outside of normal business hours Mastery of a foreign language would be considered a huge asset Valid/clean driver’s license (you may need to shuttle people around occasionally) Behaviours that are non-negotiable: Positive (the optimism simply radiates from you) An ability to work independently, but at your core get the idea that everyone needs to have each other’s backs and work together to make magic really happen Demonstrate you can get creative and innovative within the position Be open to new ideas and thoughtful in your approach; demonstrate respect for all parties to get the best end result Empathy (for the members in our community and the people who want to build a unique experience) Total Compensation Package: Starting salary of $65,000 to $70,000 Full health and dental benefits Excellent time off (from vacation to snow and wellness days) Work from home opportunities Annual training opportunities and allowances A quirky yet incredibly passionate team (after all, we think this is priceless) If you’re interested, please send us your resume to .
