We’re the vacation heroes – giving guests aspotless first impression and setting the tone for an unforgettable experience.With us, you’re more than a housekeeper, you’re a keeper of the house.What we’re looking forWe’re searching for an exceptional individual to join our team as Operations Manager, Housekeeping and Infections Control.This person will manage a large team of housekeepers and partner with the Management and Vacation Specialist team.

We’re looking for an individual with great enthusiasm, work ethic, operation and hospitality experience that will echo our company’s mission and values.What you’ll doOversee a large team of housekeepers and inspectors in cottage country, including Muskoka, Near North, Orillia, Parry Sound and Port Severn areas.Hire, retain and manage a team of efficient and high-quality housekeepers and inspectors, ensuring all are trained, effective and adhere to OCR policies and procedures.

Manage a budget, adhering to set annual costs.

Prepare a hiring program to recruit a large number of Housekeepers for the season beginning in May and dropping off in October.Prepare a comprehensive training program which includes slides, video conferencing, and individual coaching.

Report weekly on the cleaning operations, with successes and issues.

Support the OCR Team by responding to emails, calls and work orders with regard to escalated guest and homeowner concerns.Partner and assist OCR business development representative when new units join the portfolio.

Schedule or conduct inspections prior to guest and property owner arrivals.

Provide cross-coverage for your Inspectors / Supervisors when necessary.

Back up cleaners, site-check cleaners and assist with guest issues while onsite.Skills you’ll needTechnical computer skills required on all forms of hardware – laptops, tablets and mobile devices.

Ability to work Sunday through Saturday, early mornings and evenings as needed.Experience managing a team of employees.Knowledge and passion regarding infection control, disinfecting and sanitizing.Knowledge of lake areas of Ontario, including small towns, rivers, lakes, and districts.

Knowledge of Ontario employment laws, as well as Police Checks and bonding.

Professional in all forms of communications such as email, phone calls, video calls and texts.

Ability to work well under pressure in an agile, fast-paced environment.Excellent time management skills with the ability to change activity frequently and cope with interruptions.Highly responsive and reliable.Strong attention to detail.
