CANImmunize is a Canadian-owned technology company specializing in immunization software.

It developed the CANImmunize app, a pan-Canadian digital immunization tracking system that helps Canadians keep track of their vaccinations with a mobile app and web portal.

What is the opportunity?

We’re looking for an experienced Quality Assurance Lead to join our growing team and help expand our product offerings.

We are a completely remote team and use GitHub, JIRA, Slack, and video conferencing to collaborate.

We’ve been working this way since long before the pandemic.

Our team’s focus in the next year will be expanding our Clinic Flow platform as well as a series of projects that will make it easier for users to access immunization records stored in provincial immunization repositories.

Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, the individual in this role will be responsible for CANImmunize’s quality assurance program and junior quality assurance analysts.

Our ideal candidate has a passion for finding defects through the development of thoughtful test strategies and procedures and has experience testing large-scale production systems.

You have intuition for where to look for defects and experience developing automated tests.

You should be comfortable in dealing with lots of moving pieces and have a strong attention to detail.

You will be responsible for implementing and improving CANImmunize’s quality assurance processes and will work as part of the development team to deliver stable, scalable, and high performing software.

You will write and perform automated and manual tests, write code, fix bugs, and support users You will develop and maintain test cases, testing checklists, and other related documents You will collaborate with our developers and quality assurance engineers to develop effective test strategies and plans You will manage, mentor, and train junior quality assurance analysts You will work to ensure quality through our product development lifecycle What do you need to succeed?

Must have: 5 years of experience in testing software applications/systems, using industry standard quality assurance practices and procedures Experience managing a team of quality assurance analysts Proven ability to create test cases, checklists, test plans, and test summaries Strong analytical, problem-solving, and prioritization abilities Ability to adhere to the development process, and multitask quickly to adjust priorities, where deadlines are constantly changing Strong communication skills.

Working on a remote team requires constant effort and proactive communication to keep yourself and your peers informed of progress and setbacks.

Nice to have: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, information systems, or technical degrees Experience working with mobile apps Knowledge of project management tools Ability to work with ambiguity in a less-structured environment What’s in it for you?
