This is accomplished across four geographic management zones which are responsible for the operation of acute care health centres and the provision of a variety of inpatient, outpatient services including academic, tertiary, quaternary care and community based programs and services including continuing care, primary health care, public health, and mental health and addictions.

Responsibilities Reporting to the Manager, the Utility Worker maintains the cleanliness of the hospital.

Activities include cleaning, mopping and dusting all areas in the hospital.

Other work would include floor care (scrubbing and waxing floors), shampooing of carpets and chairs, waste removal (hazardous waste and regular waste), chemical spill cleanup, laundry tasks, room set-ups, window cleaning (interior), some salt application during winter months, isolation room cleaning, flood and blood-spill clean ups.

Qualifications
• Grade 12/GED.

• Effective communication skills.

• Preference will be given to applicants with cleaning and floor care experience.

• Competencies in other languages an asset, French preferred.

All shifts required: Monday to Friday including, days, evenings, weekends and holidays.

6:30a.m.

to 2:30p.m.

8:00a.m.

to 4:00p.m.

3:30p.m.

to 11:30p.m.

4:00p.m.

to 12:00a.m.

11:30p.m.

to 7:30a.m.

Salary Information $17.0904
– $17.8025 hourly Thank you for your interest in this position.
