Wellness and Housekeeping Supervisor Location: Parkland at the Lakes, Dartmouth NS Position: Full Time Shannex is seeking Wellness and Housekeeping Supervisor based in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

Reporting to the Business Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for directing and managing the provision of housekeeping, laundry, and recreation services throughout each service line on the campus.

Who You Are… As the successful candidate, you have knowledge and understanding of housekeeping and wellness services in a senior community setting and 2-5 years previous experience in supervision and coordination of teams.

You also have previous experience in customer service and have the ability to communicate effectively and efficiently, both verbally and in writing.

You are a problem solver and pride yourself in using independent judgement when required.

In addition, you are comfortable using computers and various software applications.

How you will do it… Provide leadership and oversight to all departmental activities to ensure compliance to policies, procedures, and applicable legislation Outline work assignments Supervise, direct, and evaluate the work of the team Ensure new team members are orientated and trained on all departmental standards Provide ongoing training and education Complete performance and development discussions for team members Build and support teamwork through regular communication, role modelling and efficient and effective performance management.
