The Position

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Food & Beverage team at the first Match Eatery & Public House in Ontario! You will be responsible for maintaining high standards and food product consistency by preparing, presenting, storing, and dispatching all products to ensure guest satisfaction at all times. Bringing your passion for food to the table, you will consistently ensure that high standards of food preparation are met in a timely, efficient, and sanitary manner.

Key Responsibilities


Follow required methods of preparation, maintaining consistent portion sizes, and ensuring high quality of food
* Prepare orders for the restaurants and bars in a timely manner
* Sets up stations according to guidelines and standards
* Maintain product consistency by following standards, recipes, portion controls and presentation of food prepared as per culinary and supervisory guidelines
* Assist with the cleaning, sanitation, and organization of the kitchen including coolers and other storage areas
* Ensure that equipment is used in a safe manner and that all working areas are kept clean and tidy at all times
* Adheres to all food service, hospitality and culinary standards, policies, and regulations; including hygiene and cleanliness and inventory control procedures
* Provide courteous and professional service at all times
* Works collaboratively with team members

What Youll Require

* Proven high level of Customer Service
* 1 year of experience in a cook position or relevant culinary experience
* High School Diploma
* Food Handlers Certificate, Smart Serve Certificate
* Good communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skills
* Excellent organizational and time management skills
* Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
* Ability to work within a team environment
* Excellent culinary skills and cooking abilities
* Experience with various knife-cutting techniques
* Solid understanding of food safety preparation including critical control temperatures
* Must successfully pass a security screening
