Position Overview:

What you’ll do:

  • Deliver, maintain and exceed customer service quality standards as established by Hospitality Department
  • Maintain a positive attitude and provide friendly, professional and enthusiastic service at all times
  • Demonstrate accurate knowledge of pricing and products offered
  • Organize, operate and control bar to consistently deliver timely service and quality products
  • Prepare and serve bottled beverages, mixed drinks and beverages from dispensing bar to guests
  • Ensure drinks are made as per set recipes
  • Manage bar/depot set up including cleaning, organizing and stocking
  • Consistently present and maintain clean and neat work area
  • Record sales and process payments in our point of sales systems
  • Maintain and control bar stock as per set par levels
  • Conduct inventory and complete assigned check lists
  • Dismantle, clean, close and lock bar and secure product at end of shift
  • Complete all paperwork and reporting required for location including shift inventory
  • Communicate to all Servers any comments or information provided by guests to ensure a positive, memorable experience
  • Adhere to Smart Serve regulations
  • Other duties as assigned or required
  • Lead by example, to exhibit, encourage and motivate WEG’s Values and Beliefs

Qualifications:

What we’re looking for

  • Minimum one (1) year of restaurant/customer service experience in a similar environment
  • Smart Serve certification a requirement
  • Able to build and maintain effective relationships with team members and guests – “Listen and Connect”
  • Able to anticipate guests needs – “ WOW Every guest
  • Ability to know where to look or research where to find the right answer “Be Bold”
  • Ability to communicate effectively in person on the phone and by e-mail “Listen and Connect”
  • Ability to partner with team members in all facets of WEG “ Trust our Team”
  • Ability to organize workloads and set priorities accordingly “All In”
  • Ability to recognize that part of being a team member at Woodbine Entertainment is about having fun – “Fuel the fun”
  • Must be able to maintain and create a positive winning attitude in themselves and others
  • Must be able to work in a noisy environment
  • Able to lift up to 75 lbs.

This is a part-time, hourly, unionized position working the Night shift based out of Woodbine Racetrack in Toronto, ON.
